Golden Girls Trivia

Okay, the question of the day – How many relationships does Blanche officially claim she has had?

Pokémon GO Round Up 7

We thought a Burger King was a gym yesterday, so we ate there only to discover that the Qdoba across the street was the actual gym. I decided I’d try battling a gym again, now that my Pokémon are a little higher level. I got to the second battle!

Algebraic Tron

We’ve discussed how binary representations are fed into a processor which takes that input and goes through a series of steps depending on that input to create an output, but how do we actually make that happen? To do so you would choose a programming language, or create your own, dependent on the desired level of control over the machine.

Phabstractic: Structure Data Type

Structures are a data structure supported by many different languages. The usefulness I think of this particular abstract data type is the ability to be accessed as an array, enabling TaggedUnions to act like normal variables.

Leaves and Houses, Episode 3

Of course, it took me months before I realized I could group up the fruit into bunches, and I could switch tools easily using the left or right directional pad. But, once I had those things figured out, things went pretty smooth.

Pokémon GO Round Up 6

Maus tried to take over a gym way south end of town, but he ran out of seconds literally 5 hitpoints away from winning. Ah, first world problems.

Tomodachi Happiness, Episode 3

My Tomodachi Life seems to be moving along pretty well, even when I’m gone for a few months. I wonder if Ninja and Aly are going to get together? I wouldn’t be surprised if they get married… call it a hunch.

Phabstractic: Abstract Factory Pattern

The abstract factory pattern provides a way to encapsulate a group of individual factories that have a common theme without specifying their concrete classes.

The Wonderful World Of Binary

I remember learning about binary when I was just an elementary student from a How Stuff Works book. I must have checked out that book five times, re-reading the same material. I was fascinated with it, but pretty soon I wanted to know more. Unfortunately, my reading material was limited for several years before I could advance to higher topics.

Pokémon GO Round Up 5

The best thing yesterday was discovering that my gym was being dominated by a trainer known as MrPoopyBum with a 2000+ CP Snorlax.

Golden Girls Trivia!

Okay, the question of the day – What’s the name of the character Dick Van Dyke plays when he’s a special guest? Bonus if you can name the episode.

Phabstractic: Tagged Union Data Type

Many programming techniques and data structures – including rope (data structure), lazy evaluation, class hierarchy (see below), arbitrary-precision arithmetic, CDR coding, the indirection bit and other kinds of tagged pointers, etc. – are usually implemented using some sort of tagged union.

What Is A Computer?

This question is technically very broad. Computers have existed ever since the first abacus was invented. A computer is anything that helps you compute, or perform mathematics. This definition has been vastly expanded in recent decades due to technological advances. At the core of it all though, the definition is the same.

Phabstractic: Restrictions Predicate (Data Type)

Filters are important and very useful objects, allowing values or other logic to be filtered in and out of a particular set of data. Restrictions.php offers a way to use type checking in PHP, but in a very flexible and dynamic way. This can be useful for defining lists or sets that only accept certain values, which is useful for code cohesiveness and can reduce error checking.

Poochie Cures Cancer HD: I’ll Teleport You In

Far away in a lighthouse far away sat a mysterious woman with a robotic combo over jet balck, her stark eyes staring at a bajillion television screens, “The One.” Across the screens flitted a green speck and a brown spack, “Close in please… closer… closer… not so irrationally fast!”

Computer, This Is User

The computer itself (the object you plug everything else into) is the core of the whole construction. Without this part, you wouldn’t have a computer set-up at all. It is the piece you plug everything into because it processes and manages everything else.

Golden Girls Trivia!

Okay, the question of the day, though not particularly trivial, – Which special guest was your favorite on The Golden Girls?

Pokémon GO Round Up 4

Since the last round-up, I’ve hunted quite a few Pokémon. Maus decided that he’d take a turn driving when we went to the store last night and that I’d hunt Pokémon. It went well! I’ve gained two levels since last I posted.
